  • "My experience in the empathy labyrinth was a huge shift for me. I had been experiencing a lot of fear in my life and was clear that my need for safety was of utmost importance to me. As I went through the labyrinth this understanding of the importance of my safety was reinforced with more clarity. When I got to the center of the labyrinth with Marc it was as if time stopped and we entered into a different place. A place where, led in a meditative state by Marc, I was able to see that there were so many other needs wanting to be known and not being seen due to my intense focus on my need for safety. Some of the other needs that were wanting to be known were self-expression, contribution, to be known, and connection. In this timeless space we were able to bring these other needs to the table to be in dialog and connection with my need for safety. It was an incredible discovery to see that there were other needs there at all, and an incredibly satisfying experience to allow the group of needs to 'discuss' the possibility of all being held with care. After this experience I was open to and excited about the idea of holding my needs for self-expression, contribution, to be known, and connection with my need for safety. This mindset was fertile for being open to strategies for holding both sets of needs, which led to experiencing both sets of needs being met simultaneously in certain situations for the very first time. This new awareness has opened my life to so much possibility, which continues to unfold in remarkable ways. Thank you Marc for your presence and for this experience.

  • "I felt intimidated by the green carpet and secure at the same time because i knew my feelings and needs were somewhere in the middle of the room. I was eager to find and locate them and write it down. Trust is a huge huge need for me and i am beyond grateful for having done this exercise in class. I feel empowered as a single woman and individual, I feel significant. I feel like I'm connecting with NVC."

  • "I thought Marc teaching us the Empathy Labyrinth was great. I really enjoyed learning from him. He is such a powerful influence and I'm going to take a lot out of it. It felt good to go around the circles and reflect on what feelings and needs were pertinent to my situation with my sister. I also liked the meditation part of the process. It felt wonderful to sit back, close my eyes and take deep breaths, and feel what was going on in my heart."

  • "I found the Empathy Labyrinth to be very powerful and tranformative. I had not fully understood the NVC process (even though i thought i did) until doing the Empathy Labyrinth."
